UniPro recently redesigned the office space at their headquarters and wanted to incorporate gallery walls that showcase the photos from their previous promotional calendars.
Previous technology allowed for the images to be printed on photographic paper and then mounted to acrylic and a backer; however, this method is more costly than printing direct.
New technology at Parallax made it possible to create fine art quality prints second surface and direct-to-acrylic. The brand new HP R2000 Latex Hybrid proved to be the perfect option for this project due to its much higher ink adhesion and wider color gamut than any other large format digital printer on the market.
Printing to the second surface adds depth and provides a protective barrier since the image is printed to the back of the acrylic. Printing direct to substrate gives the finished images an unmatched, top-notch quality, as well as the stunning and elegant look needed to complete the gallery.
